The Almighty Nigerian Soldiers

Whenever I sleep and wake up awed, my dream must have been about soldiers. I fear anybody  in camouflage, oh! I fear them. "Soldiers are nice people until they get angry," someone would say, "don't dare soldiers o, they can kill anybody without being questioned," another would corroborate. Ask anybody on the street, what he knows about the military and he will tell you how some six policemen were mercilessly whipped by just two soldiers, how motorcyclists(no matter how old) must come down from their bike and push, when approaching military check points or risk hell; how someone relocated early to the grave for having affairs with a soldier's wife or fiance, how somebody's husband was made to relish some 'frog-jump'  as a beating for receiving a phone call at a millitary checkpoint, how unfortunate a driver was, who overtook with his car, a military hilux or any car conveying some green berets,  and how you must not calm an angry soldier down, no matter how close or related you are to him, if you don't want some strokes of his belt or koboko. Someone even told me, that the most wicked of soldiers were female cadets and when she narrated her experience with one of them, I didn't wish to meet a female soldier in life.

I am, till cows come home, un-easy when I am with any of them, I try to comport myself almost to the extent of not breathing when I sight them. The lexeme, 'soldier' sends hysteria, horror and jam through my spines, I fidget a lot when I see any inscription indicating a military zone, I cannot go near a barack even in dreams. Not as if I am afraid of death( that seems the highest any mortal can offer) that much, neither am I too scared of  'frog-jump' or any of the many ridiculous punishments civilians enjoy at check points but I hate humiliation,  and I hate it when people helplessly endure it  too.

Despite my reservations on the numerous abuse of civilians by some power-drunk soldiers, ask of a people I love with passion, I will tell you it is the military. These are individuals who ignore the warmth of family life to keep us safe. Humans who stare death in the face, just to keep the majority alive, these are humans who deprive themselves of the merriments of free-will/freedom and instead embrace perpetual obedience to superiors even at the expense of their lives. They fall in love with the deafening exclamations of gun-shots so that snorers will sleep with two eyes closed. They romance the everyday come-die songs of the forest, they traverse the valley of the shadow of death, they eat nothings and remain in heavy weight uniforms. They have no shield for the coldness of the night nor cover for the hotness of the day. They have wives they scarcely enjoy and children who hardly recognize them, and all these, just to protect some 'bloody' civilians. What is preventing me from showing love to these fighters? Why do I have to see those who do too much to keep me safe and break out in sweat? Aren't they supposed to be the most cherished among the populace?

Ordinarily, a soldier is someone you should see and run-to for a selfie, someone a farmer should see and share the things he is bringing from the farm with, someone children should see and embrace, someone people should rally round and make sure he lacks nothing wherever he's serving, but what we see in today's Nigeria is a situation whereby soldiers brutalise the people they claim to  protect, at the slightest provocation. So, those who should love them are afraid of them, those who should agitate for a better life for them can not move closer to them, those who should pray for them hate them. Before yesterday, I didn't know it was a crime for a Nigerian soldier to brutalise a civilian, so, why the incessant abuse? It shows the kind of country we are in, a country where anything goes, where there is no law, where things are falling apart. My brothers and sisters in the Army, I love you, many Nigerians do. We appreciate your sacrifices, we understand your pains, you are our heroes, you are our strength as a people and we can't but be grateful to you, but stop using the rod on us like we are goats, stop giving us public discipline like we are school children and we'll show you how much our hearts beat for you. I just hope this write-up won't attract some impromptu 'frog-jump'.

By WOLE SOYINKA......

The Ibos want Biafra
The North wants Ibo's exit
The Yorubas want Ibo's exit
The Ibos are saying "we have investments in your areas and cannot leave them"
And the fight is being cooked.

Amongst all these, the President is in London
Governors are sharing bailout funds
Workers salaries are not paid
Government officials have their children schooling abroad
Ministers and senators are looting

The poor Hausa man is riding Okada
The poor Ibo man is riding Okada
The poor Yoruba man is riding Okada

The poor Hausa man sleeps under the bridge as Alamajiri
The poor Yoruba man sleeps under the bridge as Alaye
The poor Ibo man sleeps under the bridge as agbero

It is pertinent to note that the poor from all ethnic groups in Nigeria have everything in common and so is the rich.

Do not allow the agitation of an Ibo man who lives in UK or USA for Biafra cause the killing of the Ibo man in Adamawa. The rich hate us that much.
Do not allow the Alhaji whose children are living abroad to persuade you to go and start killing on the street of Kaduna.

The problem in the country is not the agitation of any ethnic group but the unity of the elite and the disunity of the masses.

How many times have you taken your agitation to question your local government Chairmen?

Why have you not asked your Governors through agitation how they spent bailout fund?

Why have you not agitated against that government official whose mansions you go to beg for help?

Sad to note;
All the Governors love themselves
All the past Presidents love themselves
All the senators love themselves
All the top government officials love themselves
All the looters love themselves

Why can't you and  I love ourselves?
Why cant we combine efforts and fight them?
Why do we fight ourselves?
Why do we allow them the freedom we don't have?

Remember; a good Nigeria is better than a good Arewa, Oduduwa or Biafra.

#When the HOPE was murdered

On this day, Nigerians woke up with the HOPE of ending their sufferings with the election of a man who promised them HOPE.

Religion and ethnic sentiments were defeated as Nigerians voted a Muslim-Muslim ticket and the North rejected Bashir Othman Tofa, their own son and opted for a Yorubaman.

Alas! The opportunity to break our ethnic and religious barriers once and for all was killed - June 12, 1993 presidential election was annulled.

Then followed the Epetedo declaration and the arrest of MKO Abiola, the man who gave Nigerians promise of HOPE.

They took MKO Abiola away alive and brought him DEAD four years after!

»»»»»»»»»»»»»
#Here is the transcript of the last interview MKO Abiola granted as he was being whisked away.

Excerpts:

BBC: What is happening in your house? Are you being arrested?
MKO: I am being arrested. I am just going out now with the police (MKO and supporters are singing the national anthem)…Hello. There is a large crowd here. I am being escorted out to detention by singing the national anthem.

BBC: Why are they arresting you?
MKO: They are arresting me on an allegation of felony—namely treason or something like that. They are not doing anything, they are just taking me away. Please let me go, you know I am delaying them (police).

BBC: And so where are you? Are you in your car?
MKO: I am in my car now.

BBC: Is it police who are with you in your car or are they escorting you?
MKO: The commissioner of police is in the car with me and my senior wife (Kudirat) is in the car with me

BBC: Why are they letting you talk on the phone to the BBC while they are in the middle of arresting you?
MKO: They have come to arrest me, not to arrest my mouth! (laughs).

BBC: You sound very cheerful about it Chief Abiola?
MKO: Of course (laughing). It is all part of democracy here.

BBC: And you are happy to go to the police and await whatever charges they are going to file against you?
MKO: I am not in any way disturbed by it. Any sacrifice is in order. If it will bring democracy, peace and posterity to Nigeria.*

BBC: Is it possible to speak to the commissioner of police who is with you in the car?
MKO: I don’t know if the commissioner of police is authorised to talk; he cannot talk to the press.

BBC: What is your advice now to your supporters? Many of them we heard a moment ago?

MKO: I told them before I left home to just stay calm. It is very, very, important that they stay calm.

BBC: So you are appealing for calm? You don’t want them to take any direct action in your support?
MKO: NO, NO, NO, NO.

BBC: You still say you are the President of Nigeria; but it is not much good if you are going to be in jail?

MKO: Well……, Mandela was in jail for 27 years; Kenyatta was in jail. I suppose that is one of the qualifications you need in this part of the world. Don’t worry yourself my friend.
»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»

24 years after, the religious and ethnic barriers broken on June 12, 1993 are now more stronger than they were then.

The HOPE of having a Nigeria where all Nigerians are treated equally is still a mirage. The country is now more divided than ever before.

Who will present us with another HOPE?

God help Nigeria and its people.

Make Nigeria proud

A Russian saw me in my office and said where are you from , i said am from the greatest country in the world. He looked at me with a very strange look and said let me guess u are from Nigeria , i said yes. Out of curiosity he said considering whats happening in your country now why would you say shes the best in the world and i asked him to sit down and let me tell him what he and most people dont not know about Great Nigeria and i told him these.......

 1. Are you aware that all over the world Nigerians are setting the pace and becoming the standard by
which others measure themselves? Do you know??

2. In the US, Nigerians are the most educated immigrant community. Type it into Google and you’ll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated.

3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have college degrees. This is far above the American national average of 30%.

4. Nigerians in US are one of the highest earners, typically
earning 25% more than the median US income of $53k.
5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, Nigerians routinely outperform their peers from other nations.

6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family, have officially been named vvv GB 45 family in the UK.
7. The designer of the famous car, Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a super
talented Nigerian from Sokoto State.

8. The World’s fastest supercomputer was designed by a world renowned inventor and scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-blown Nigerian whose pat ency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the pat ency to the world’s fastest computer: a Nigerian.

9. The wealthiest Black man and woman on earth are
Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind.

10. South Africa couldn’t have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for
the leadership role Nigeria played.

11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who ruled after apartheid, two of them once
lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President
of South Africa.
We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and our politicians, musicians and activists campaigned relentlessly.

12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra
Leone which the world ignored because they have no oil.

13. When there was a coup in Sรฃo Tomรฉ and Prรญncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the
elected President back to power.

14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom
had street lights fueled by palm oil.

15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask.

16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state,
Northwestern Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to
Africa.

17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and
built a statue for France free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don’t be lied to.

18. The first television station in Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long before
Ireland has their RTE station.........

Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our recent and ancient past. If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you’ll not get the full & true picture of your Nigerian heritage.
Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he
is, or his height and position.
We’re not a nation of scammers, drugs & corruption, but a people with a verifiable track record of greatness........

Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians:

19. On the 7th of May, 2016 at Howard University in Washington D.C history was
made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were
Nigerians and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians. The entire world still envies our uniqueness as a NATION, living together despite our ethnic diversity. One single country with over 400 languages. They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into drugs overseas. If you don’t blow your trumpet, no one will blow it for you.

VIVA NAIJA!!!

20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians world over and only about 250,000 of this figure have traceable criminal records. This is about 0.14% of our entire national population in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%. Shame on global
media.

Listen Nigeria, don't let anybody woo you into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian.
Nigerians are NOT criminals. You are NOT a criminal.
You are topnotch; second to none around the world.
I am proud am created a Nigerian, thank you God. Be proud of Nigeria wherever you go. Take out your Passport with pride. He couldnt talk and just walked away. Am proud to be a Nigerian and be from that country.... God bless Federal Republic Of Great Nigeria.

Please Continue Sharing This....Until all Nigerians see it!

*BOLA AHMED TIBUNU, THE JAGABAN OF NIGERIA POLITICS, WHERE IS YOUR JAGABANISM IN EDUCATION?*

By: ISHOLA OLADAPO
(Ennykings)
07030255890

Dear Baba Asiwaju, the Jagaban of Lagos state and the leader of the ruling party of Nigeria, how are you sir? Hope the ministry is moving as planned?

It is no more gain saying that Tinubu is one of the biggest political leaders in Nigeria and in Africa at large, with immense participations in governmental affairs from being a distinguished senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to being the executive governor of Lagos state. Tinubu, a man of respected dignitary and mighty political prowess, who happen to be the Chancellor of the respected one time best state university of Ladoke Akintoka University of Technology, is a father and a politico-god many students and political aspirants look up to as a great role model when it comes to governmental politics. Despite all this mighty appraisals, baba Asiwaju to every LAUTECH student in nothing but a puppeteer and a cartoonist character in the face of educational intervention.

It is such a pity, a man of his accolade has no futural plan for education or do I say he has no human feelings towards the life of LAUTECH scholars and the staff. Ever since Asiwaju became chancellor of the school, no single project has been erected or instructed to be proposed neither did he ever step into the school where he was suppose to represent the education sector by visiting it and making a great impact.

Baba Asiwaju sir, we all know that you are a god, and a great grandfather in Nigeria politics and we have seen you in many occasions preach the gospel of good governance through education advocacy in Nigeria, you are even known as Jagaban because you posed and wanted to rule like the real progenitor of the Yoruba ancestry Baba Awolowo, but unfortunately you can never live his legacy because you are a failure in the education sector.

Asiwaju, where have you been ever since two of your boys "Governor Ajimobi of Oyo and Aregbesola" of Osun have been meandering and bastardizing the life of ladokites and all LAUTECH staff by denying them their constitutional rights? Could it have been that your political authority is not strong enough to talk sense into your little ones? Or you have just chosen to allow them kill the future of these brilliant scholars because you don't want them to ascend the political seats you have kept for your grandchildren? Oh what a great dismay, with all your glitters and golds ranging from your latest $60Million and your N120billion property in Lekki amongst others with the national cakes from many angles, even some Forbes has rated you to be the richest politician after General Ibrahim Babangida.

All LAUTECH need is financial intervention of N8Billion which we know its very negligible compared to your ever lasting wealth, please show us your philanthropic face and help our future. Don't leave us to perish when we know you can singlehandedly solve our financial problems for our school to be great again.

How much is 8Billion naira in your account sir, that you can't just simply send into the purse of LAUTECH for smooth sailing. Anyways this is a double sign against your personality, we sure do know that very soon you will come to Ogbomoso soil to canvas for votes for your aspirants, then you will be remembered that students have suffered a great ordeal as a result of your negligence.

Baba Asiwaju, we urge you, please let us see your Jagabanism in education, please Jagabanise our school to resuscitate the dying institution, for this we will forever remember you, at this crucial point of our life when many has committed suicide due to societal frustration caused by incessant strike actions, varsity workers tuned beggars amongst others.

History will forever have it, your impact towards the lives of LAUTECH lads and workers. I have not written this to bastardise you, but to quickly come in to rescue us for your boys in Osun and Oyo are ready to kill us.

THAT KIND OF WOMAN

THAT KIND OF WOMAN
.
Permit me to share this little story with you, I'm sure it will bless you.
.
Sometimes ago, a man went with his wife in their car to a fuel station, while they were buying the fuel, the man discovered that it was the wife's ex boyfriend that is attending to them, He then smiled and turned to his wife and said, "you would have ended up marrying that petrol attendant", but the wife smiled and said, "if I had married him, He will be the one sitting by the steering of the car"
.
BOOM!!!
.
Now this woman understands the power of a woman, she gets it! She knows who she is and she knows that a genuine and Real woman has in her the capacity to produce much out of little.
.
Pls pay attention to this:
.
There is a kind of woman a man will marry and He will never end up poor, not because she has millions, but because she has the true wealth within her...Wisdom. Be that kind of woman
.
There is a kind of woman a man will marry and He will experience peace till death, irrespective of the storms of life.
Be that kind of woman.
.
There is a kind of woman whose battles are fought on her knees and her enemies are known by her, not her husband, or even her kids, but the devil himself knows and is scared of her. Be that kind of woman.
.
There is a kind of woman whose hands have been trained for various enterprise, skillful in business and never lazy. Be that kind of woman.
.
There is a kind of woman who is aware that a woman can lead in all other sectors of life except the home, though a Prof but yet, unconditionally submissive at home. Be that kind of woman.
.
See,
There is a kind of woman a Real Man won't see and then imagine sex instantly, he sees her and thinks of a Home. Be that kind of woman.
.
There is a kind of woman a man will have to begin and cultivate a relationship with God before he can get to her. I urge you, be that kind of woman.
.
Never underestimate your power as a woman. Don't be reduced to nothing and worthless by meaningless singers out there that think you are men's problem or equivalent to money or sex.. There is more to you than meet the eye.
.
Stay in God's words, the Real Man meant for you will find you in it!

Nigeria's ailing President Buhari misses third cabinet meeting

Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has missed his third cabinet meeting in a row amid ongoing questions about the state of his health.

In her tweets, Mrs Buhari said that the president was continuing to "carry out his responsibilities" and has been meeting with ministers.

Information Minister Lai Mohammed told the BBC that the president's health was "a personal matter" and that Nigerians have been kept aware of his condition.

A former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu, and his ex-chief of staff, Umar Nasko, have been granted bail by the Minna High Court.

Both men had been remanded in prison by the court on Tuesday last week after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned them on charges of corruption and fraud.

The former governor was accused in the third charge of dishonestly converting to personal use over N1.725bm belonging to Niger State Government to personal use from Zenith Bank contrary to section 311 of penal code and punishable under section 304.

Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi, took to her Instagram page to announce her engagement to Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W.

Well, the wait is finally over as the two pledge their love on their social media handles. Banky W could not also contain his emotions, as he wrote a lengthy message to her…

“Dear Susu (part II) In that time, I got engaged to you in my “made for you” music video and by pure coincidence, we both got cast to get married in the wedding party movie.. but all the while we were the very best of friends. I guess, in our case, real life will now imitate art."

Nigeria stifling press freedom – Amnesty International

Amnesty International said, “An escalating spate of arrests of journalists and intimidation of bloggers as well as the violent crushing of peaceful protests across Nigeria shows the authorities’ determination to suppress the right to freedom of expression.

Amnesty urged the federal and state governments to respect international human rights law and the Nigerian constitution by protecting the right to freedom of expression and press freedom.

“The security forces have also consistently used excessive force and intimidation to crack down on Nigerians exercising their right to freedom of peaceful assembly.”

Boko Haram leader Shekau injured in air strike – Reports

Boko Haram's leader Abubakar Shekau has been injured and one of his deputies killed in an air strike in northeast Nigeria, civilian and security sources told AFP on Wednesday.

Two Nigerian Air Force jets bombarded fighters who had gathered for prayers in Balla village, some 40 kilometres (25 miles) from Damboa, on the edge of the Sambisa Forest, last Friday.

"Shekau was wounded in the bombings and is believed to be receiving treatment near the Nigerian border with Cameroon around Kolofata," said one source with contacts within Boko Haram.

Article

In 1896, Thomas Edison, the great inventor who invented the electric bulb, was working on an idea to design a car when he heard that a young man who worked in his company had created an experimental car.

Edison met the youngman at his company's party in New York and interviewed him about the car. He was impressed! He had the same idea as the young man but he was considering electricity as the power source while the young man used a gasoline engine to power the car. He slammed his fist down and shouted "young man, that's the thing! You have it! ... I think you are on to something! I encourage you to continue your pursuits!" With these words of encouragement from the most highly respected inventor in the United States at that time, HENRY Ford continued his work, invented a car and became wealthy.

On december 9, 1914, Thomas Edison's laboratory and factory got burnt. He was 67years old and the damage was too extensive for insurance cover. Before the ashes were cold, Henry Ford handed Edison a cheque of $750,000 with a note saying that Edison could have more if he needed it!

In 1916, Henry Ford relocated his home to the building next to Edison's home and when Edison couldn't walk and was confined to a wheelchair by his doctors, Henry Ford also bought himself a wheelchair so that he could run wheelchair races with his friend and mentor!

Thomas Edison made Henry Ford believe in himself and got a friend for life!

LESSON:
**Don't ever be jealous of other people's success. If you can't win a race, help the person in front of you to break the record!
**Putting out the candle light of your neighbour in the dark will never increase the brightness of yours.
**Your candle will not lose its light when it lights up another candle!
**Getting the job done is more important than who gets the glory.

This article is for you and me! Yes, you and me!

Be inspired, speak positively into someone's life today, and possibly save a soul.

Suicide ๐Ÿš—Car Bomb Targets Military Convoy in ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌNigeria

Suicide ๐Ÿš—Car Bomb Targets Military Convoy in ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌNigeria

A suicide car bomber has attacked a military convoy in northeast Nigeria, killing five soldiers and injuring another 40, security forces have said.

Two military officers told the AFP news agency on Friday that the attacker, believed to be loyal to factional Boko Haram leader Abu Mus'ab Al-Barnawi, targeted the convoy, which was conducting "clearance operations" between Yobe and Borno states.

"We lost five soldiers in the incident and more than 40 sustained various degrees of injuries," added the officer, who asked to remain anonymous because he was not authorised to speak about the incident.

END TIME

END TIME: Russia has banned any form of religion soon it will be universal

Troubling times for the Church in Russia as the State tries to seal loopholes for anyone to meet Christ.

A new law has been signed this week by President Putin stating that:

1) Foreign guests are not permitted to speak in churches unless they have a "work permit" from Russian authorities

2) If a friend or relative from outside Russia wishes to share his/her faith in your home the guest will be fined and expelled from Russia.

3) Any discussion of God with non-believers is considered missionary activity and will be punishable.

4) Missionary activity will be permitted by special government permission. Example: If one travelling on a train shares his faith without written permission, the offender will be taken into police custody for the duration of the journey and will be fined 50,000 rubles ($1,000).
Offenders from the age of 14-years-old will be subject to prosecution

5) Religious activity is no longer permitted in private homes. Most churches in Russia meet in homes.

6) Every citizen is obligated to report religious activity of neighbors to the authorities. Failure to be an informant is punishable by law.

7) One may pray and read the Bible at home but not in the presence of a non-believing person. You will be breaking the law and be punished.

8) If the church has purchased property it cannot be converted into a place of worship.

9) In church buildings, it is not permitted to invite people to turn to God. Worship services are permitted but making a non-believer a follower of Christ is against the law.
Let us pray against such evil statutes.

Prophet T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nation,

The controversial clergyman said this at the weekend in Lagos
while delivering a sermon at his church.
According to him, the church progressed because haters made it
so
He claimed that his main advertisers are his adversaries who go
about saying evil about his church.
According to the Prophet, those who go about describing him as
a devil and speaking ill about his church has helped the church
grow tremendously.
.He said: “God has given us adverts. Every living ministry has
free adverts. What you say about me is an advert to me. If you
leave here today and tomorrow, go to town and say, that man is
a devil, not a man of God’ – you are advertising me! ‘
"Don’t go there; they used to tie people down. It’s a bad Church.
You are indirectly advertising me because the people you are
telling will want to confirm whether truly they tie people down.

This is the advert God has given me for the past 30 years.
“God said, ‘don’t have any signboard – God will advertise your

Let people advertise you. Don’t fight.
“If truly you are genuine, whatever people say about you –

Faleyimu who made the predictions on Sunday, December 25, in
his church in Lagos said Joshua’s time is near.
“T.B Joshua should be prayerful so as not to lose a child before
he goes because his time is near,” the cleric said.

MORAL LESSON

A ship engine failed, no one could fix it.

Then they brought in a man with 40 years

experience to look at it.

He inspected the engine carefully, top to bottom.

After looking things over,

the guy reached into his bag and

pulled out a small rusty hammer.

He gently tapped something.

Instantly, the engine lurched into life.

The engine was fixed!

Seven days later the owners got

his bill of 8,500 dollars for the job.

"What?!" The owners said,

"You hardly did anything.

Send us an itemized bill.”

The man simply replied, "

Tapping with the hammer is 15O,dollars,

Knowing where to tap is 8,350 dollars "

MORAL: Knowledge only is NOT power !

but knowledge in use is power..

The young man had knowledge and used it.

It's appalling that not everyone that has knowledge uses it.

Some died with it, it rusted in some people's

head while they are still alive and they beg for food.

Don’t forget, go out and exhibit your skill and knowledge

Lot of people are waiting out there to pay you for your ideas,

Information , knowledge, skill, whatever

Trump make giant U-turn on everything

Trump make giant U-turn on everything

President Trump gave an interview to the Wall Street Journal today. It appears that he has given up his nationalist-populist tendencies and turned into just another regular US President.

- On China: he no longer believes they are a currency manipulator. This has been mainstream US position for the last few years. Trump accused Obama of going soft on China and letting them "steal" from the US by letting them maintain a weak currency.

- On Fed Chairman Janet Yellen: He might consider letting her stay for a second term. Earlier he had referred to her in derogatory terms, implying that she had been keeping interest rates low and artificially propping up markets.

- On the import tax: He no longer believes in it.

- On the strong dollar: He's a believer in it now. He used to be opposed to it.

In a separate news conference he announced that NATO was not obsolete. The man had campaigned long and hard on NATO being obsolete.

All in all, this marks quite the turn for Trump from populist to run-of-the-mill globalist centrist on the US spectrum.

LATEST GIST

๐Ÿ˜ฌ    No fewer than seven persons died in renewed cult clashes in Ilorin between Friday and Sunday.

The clashes occurred in different parts of Ilorin such as Ikororo, Baboko, Osere, Olunlande, Egbejila and Coca-Cola road.

The clashes, according to a source, involved members of the Aiye and Eiye confraternities.

The source disclosed that the latest incident was in response to the gruesome killing of a suspected cultist identified as Tobi at Coca-Cola road.

On Thursday one Abiodun Aremu, popularly known as “Abbey,” was killed at Ikororo area of Niger road in the metropolis.

An unidentified man was on Saturday killed at Egbejila.

A resident of the area, who craved anonymity, said the gunmen trailed the victim to the spot where he was murdered.

“The man was riding on a motorcycle from Temidire area on Airport-Egbejila road when another motorcycle with three gunmen intercepted him.

“They pushed him off the motorcycle and shot him at close range,’’ the resident said.

The assailants, however, spared the victim’s friend who was on the motorcycle with him.

Some suspected cult members also launched an attack on Friday at Olunlade area of Ilorin where an unidentified man was killed.

The incident was said to have occurred at about 4p.m., causing panic in the area.

A similar incident also occurred at Olufadi area, off Edun Street, where one Ayo Shuaib was killed.

A teacher with the Government Secondary School, Afon, Olatunji Ahmed, popularly known as Itu, was also gunned down at Osere.

Ahmed was said to have gone to pay a visit to a friend in the area when he met his death.

He was reportedly shot at close range before his body was evacuated by the police and deposited at the Ilorin General Hospital morgue.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the death of only two persons.

He said although no arrest had been made, the command was on the trail of perpetrators of the crime.
