NIGERIA AND HER USELESS EDUCATIONAL SECTOR.
If 2y(5x-7y) -6y X +6 = 45 find x.
Yesterday i was in the sitting room watching a program called China24 on CCTV NEWS, an electric lamp manufacturer was interviewed together with his workers in his factory. The workers are kids between the ages or 12-18 the most beautiful part of it was that the kids can on their own manufacture same. Now let's come down to Nigeria. Nigerian students are busy searching for "x" while students in the developed countries are manufacturing things for the development of their country.
In Nigeria, our engineering students spend nearly all their time solving difficult equations and searching for "x". In Nigeria, students will be asked to search for "x" I do smile and ask myself how can we use Algebra and simultaneous equation to boost the economy.
How can we use the located "x" to solve the challenges facing us? In Nigeria, teacher will draw a circle having dots in it on the chalk board and tell the kids "this is an Orange" imagine.
In Nigeria, a teacher will be in the class room using acid to change litmus paper to red on the chalk board. In fact, in Nigeria the best place to mix acid with base is on chalk board.
In Nigeria, a teacher will be in the class teaching rock and it types and expect the students to be able to identify them in real sense how possible? However, the above are some of the reasons why at 50+ as an oil producing country we are still importing tooth-pick and matches. Our brain has been channel to the fact that failure to go to school will end one up as a domestic servant of the educated ones which I seriously disagree with. We can't all be in the class room at the same time and expect us to catch up with the developed countries, it never done; we will keep depending on them with such barbaric idea.
Let those that are willing to go into sport be on the field or track not in class room, Christiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid FC was expelled from school at the age of 14 and today he is a world footballer.
Let take those that are good in construction to factories or workshops not class room. Let's take away pen from our engineering students and send them out of class.
Let's take away pen from those that are willing to take hoe, cutlass, hammer, saw, screw driver etc.
Our too much dependent on pen is sending us backward.
To me, spending 5, 6 or more years in tertiary institution is nothing but a total waste of time, 3 years is enough for engineering courses.
12 calender month is enough for food related courses and 3 or 4 years is enough to be a lawyer. Imagine our youth spending 8years of their lives in university and still our Government don't trust on their expertise rather they travel out of the country.
At this juncture, I will like to call on the government at all level to look into this and find a lasting solution to it. Lastly our government should stop sending the talented ones away by sending them aboard for training and failed to establish/provide where they will be discharging what they've learnt or the skills they've acquired upon their arrival.
If we can do this, I believe that few years to come Nigeria will be the greatest country of the world while others will be on the queue at our back.
But before then, I remain my humble self. God bless my father land.

PADLOCKS AND CHAINS
PADLOCKS AND CHAINS
I think I should make us understand this before we start the struggle this morning. I, Adeyeye Olorunfemi, wish to remind you all that I am Nigerian who is tired of the nonsense going on in all sectors of this system of contraption called Nigeria. It pains me so deeply when I see those who are not so sure of their intelligence play on our intelligence and we smile and "take it easy". "Take it easy, God would fight for you" has always been the prayer and advice given to the common man. We now live in a Country where they are different "constitutions", one for the elite, one for the masses. The bitterness in me grows much deeper when I listen or read the youths in my generation. The oppressors who destroy our lives on a daily basis are doing so with the speed of light yet we "take things easy". The National Assembly has become the home of comedy, scandal and impunity. Imagine!, a Senator in Nigeria goes home with about 50 million naira every month for dishing out good jokes and for fighting his colleagues
anytime the national cake is not shared properly. Even Ali Baba does not make that much monthly yet we "take things easy". Kemi Olunloyo was arraigned for bail in Court yesterday and she was taken to Court in prison uniform. This is a blogger who was arrested for criticising a Pastor. I do not know too much law but let me ask- Have any of the Dasukis, Fani-Kayodes, Reuben Abatis and co; those who allegedly stole our billions with all reckless abandon, I repeat, Have any of them appeared in Court in prison uniform?. We are in the best jungle in the World yet "we take things easy". A journalist was remanded in the DSS custody for 57 days because he published a story against the powers that be. An activist was killed few metres away from his house 2 weeks ago. There are Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa. Nigerian students are being killed in India. Victimization and Expulsion are the order of the day in the Zombie grounds we call Universities yet we must 'take things easy". I still don't understand how we've so much loved our chains that we even electroplate them with gold when the pains are very evident. I can "take things easy", maybe because of what I hear and see everyday. As I was just breaking the news of the blind student in UNILAG who was rusticated, I received another call that a verdict has just been passed by the FUTO Senate to expel 6 student activists who stood against the corruption and mismanagement of the University administrators. So pathetic!
When you hear "take it easy", you would think a good idea would come from those preaching the easy mantra until you wait till thy Kingdom comes. The time to stop the rubbish is NOW! . A mad man gets well the day he knows he's mad.
I do not know how this struggle I have vowed to fight with all I have would end. But there is one thing I am sure of and that is THERE WOULD BE NO PART OF MY HISTORY WHERE IT WOULD BE READ THAT I GAVE UP. I believe in Nigeria. For the struggle tomorrow, it is as sure as death and it would be peaceful as planned. All offices would be locked as early as possible.
If God has not lost hope in Nigeria, then He should for once answer the prayer in our National Anthem- HELP OUR YOUTHS THE TRUTH TO KNOW

I WILL WAIT
I WILL WAIT
A friend once told me of her experience of a missing child. She kept her three kids somewhere around a large shopping mall while she went in to pick some items. The long queue at the payment point delayed her exit. The kids were worried and the only boy among the girls decided to move and "bring mum"! Shortly after, the mother arrived and another round of search began to look for the boy. He was found after two horrific hours of tearful search! You know the biting question from the mother? Why did you move from where I kept you?
Faith that work must first learn to stand! Sometimes, God measures spiritual distance by how long you stay and not how far you have moved! Doing nothing could be hard work! Keeping quiet could be a "wise-collar" job. If the last call was to stand, my dear, stay put! Don't be pushed by insanity to proof your relevance. There are Jordans you cannot step into ahead of the Ark, otherwise, you will be washed away. There are waters you must never step on until you see Jesus and hear his "Come"! Faith can be proven by rest; by snoring in hope while the storm rages. Taking steps may be a proof of doubt. It is not every race that is inspired by courage. People could jump into spiritual canals out of fear. Saul pushed the sacrifice to make something happen! It was his last call to honour! He got his mandate torn without repairs!
It's not a weakness of faith to wait. Strength is renewed while waiting on the Lord. If you kick the ball before the whistle, your goal is a nullity. If you start running before the gun shot, you qualification is annulled. The first idolatry of Israel occurred when they couldn't wait for Moses' return from the mount. It was quiet where faith stood, it was "happening" where compromise was moving. Moses descended with a brighter reflection than their golden calf! His life overtook their lies!
In a generation that is always in a hurry, it takes faith to stay! In times when patience is blacklisted as impotence, where spirituality is defined by verbal stunts of imaginary prophecies and psychological construction of emotional bridges, you cannot follow this noise and not miss His voice!
Abraham's greatest regret was a wrong move to have a baby! Pentecost was the consequence of waiting!
You might be under pressure to do something, but if God says wait, every move is a crime!
